Re: Newbie alert - Using MT32 with a DAW

or, possibly, some special SysEx. Here's what I've gleaned from the MT-32 manual, and it should work for the CM-{32L,64} too, but it's untested until I get home with ample time (when I'll likely record it as a standard MIDI format file): f0 41 10 16 12 10 00 0d 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 47 f7 (Edit: ...

Re: King's Quest IV Finale MIDI

Hey. Sorry I missed this. I'd love to get that content up there. I'm trying to find some time to spend on the site soon.. I know, I know. been saying it for years... :( But I mean it. Been working on a new music room and everything here at the house with the hopes to get back into this stuff some m...

Re: Newbie alert - Using MT32 with a DAW

several DAW are working this way I suppose, I have this behavior with the Muse-sequencer (linux only), and Cubase on Atari ST  I think Ardour (which is multiplateform) is also similar. You can tell I haven't branched out much. Even being attached to GNU/Linux I haven't tried MusE except an anc...

Re: mt32-pi

Hello, I just wanted to present this awesome project, which is a "hardware" version of the Munt mt32 emulator, running on baremetal raspberry pi: https://github.com/dwhinham/mt32-pi this way you can have a synth running as a standalone equipement, without needing a full computer (and also...

Re: Newbie alert - Using MT32 with a DAW

There is a very important parameter to take into account about the MT32: midi channel 1 is not used ! And it's often the one used by default on many synth or DAW. So first try to set channel 2 on the DAW (or the keyboard), and output a sound from there. And I'd also recommend to connect midi out fr...

Re: GS Drum kits in the soundtrack archive

Haha, well, at least I know it's working properly for GS files :p I do not have a website, though there are remnants of my old Geocities site floating around the internet, which probably wouldn't be of interest at this point. I DO have the previous BETA version of my program on google drive. https:...

Re: Leisure Suit Larry 3 - CM-64 Soundtrack

Hi, sorry, I missed your post. Sort of. The CM-64 uses the CM-32P patch map for channels 11-16. It has, indeed, only 64 patch change messages (1-64), but it also reserves patch change messages for the SN-U110 expansion card from 65 onwards. Channels 2-10 are the CM-32L part, and work as you might e...

Re: Some solo Sierra parts on the INTEGRA-7

Hey folks, I recorded this a while back, but never got around to uploading it. It's a bunch of solo instruments/parts from Sierra scores played back on high quality Roland INTEGRA-7 patches. The idea at the time was to give a preview of the quality of the Integra for the recordings I was working on...

Re: King's Quest IV Finale MIDI

OK, with Note Off, you guys mean the velocity for "Note Off", not a controller command, right? I see that KQ4 uses nonstandard values. In every Sierra game, barring maybe an odd track here or there, the default 64 is used for "Off" velocity, and KQ4 uses sometimes 64 and sometim...
