Re: Qmidiroute patched for some GS use

Thanks for the detailed (and considerably less technical) explanation!
I don't use Raspberry Pi and/or Linux, so it's less relevant for me, but kudos for the effort! Keep up the good work.
I would love to hear/see some examples of what can be done with this.

Re: Qmidiroute patched for some GS use

So I have a question:
What does this thing do? I don't mean any disrespect, since you obviously put a lot of work into this program, but I really get lost in all the technobabble...
Could you give a brief summary, preferably in layman terms?

Re: Leisure Suit Larry 3 - CM-64 Soundtrack

Hi, sorry, I missed your post. Sort of. The CM-64 uses the CM-32P patch map for channels 11-16. It has, indeed, only 64 patch change messages (1-64), but it also reserves patch change messages for the SN-U110 expansion card from 65 onwards. Channels 2-10 are the CM-32L part, and work as you might ex...

Re: Leisure Suit Larry 3 - CM-64 Soundtrack

Indeed.
I thought it sounded better with the guitar than with the piano.
It actually made me think of the opening of the theme song from "Greatest American Hero" like that.

Re: Leisure Suit Larry 3 - CM-64 Soundtrack

Ok, here's a version with the single bass track. After listening to it only a couple of times, I think I could grow to prefer it over Tom's version. In time...
As for switching the piano track to electric piano, well... I'll let you be the judge. Here it is, just for you. ;)

Hey DrJ! Good to see you here!
Sounds like an excellent Idea.
BTW, I had no idea you worked on LSL Reloaded. I'd love to hear some stories on that one. :)

Re: Leisure Suit Larry 3 - CM-64 Soundtrack

I looked this up years ago. When editing the Larry 3 soundtrack myself for the first time, the fretless bass sounded completely different than I remembered in Tom's versions, and for a long time I thought I'd done something wrong! However that wasn't to be the case. It's very simple but extremely w...
