Re: SC-8850 information

Hi!

I'm using only the SC8820 on a Win7 PC! My SC8850 is connected with my Win98 Retro PC!
I think, try the Window USB drivers for Vista and Vista 64, these must be work on Win7 too!
You can also use a USB to Midi Device and conenct the SC8850 with Midicable!

Best regards,Matze

Re: SC-8850 information

Cool Midi, but a little bit dry and with low stereo seperation or do you want this look in the sound?!
Only for a test, I've added some Delay FX and a NRPN in the drumap! :)

And yes, SC8850 has only 32Khz Samples and this with like a adpcm compression!

Re: Roland SC8820 vs. Soundcanvas VA Plugin

Thank you for the links! Yes, I think the digitizing from the analog output make only a little difference not this what you can hear in the comparsion. Some difference a very subtile, but not so good to hear in the youtube video, because YT has a AAC datacompression in the most cases with 160 or 192...

I've found 2 of my SC8850 optimized Midis from Codename: Iceman!
On the old Sierra Website it was hosted here, but now its deleted!

I can not add midi files here directly, it is zipped!

Enjoy! :)
