MIDI Editing Software

Hi all (whoever is actually here occasionally), I'm looking to edit some MIDI files. Last time I did that was over a decade ago, and I used good old CakeWalk 3.01, which suited my needs very well. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get it to work with Windows 10, and I'm looking for an alternative. I do...

Re: New lossless FLAC recordings of MIDI soundtracks

I have my MT-32 and SC-88ST (With SC-55 compatibility mode) readily set up for use, and could probably record some of the soundtracks on demand. Are there any other criteria besides recording to FLAC?
Any special requests?

Re: Roland CM-64 tricks

Strike Commander, IMO, is one of those games that utilizes the MT-32's abilities to its fullest, Including an excellent "Dirty Guitar" custom patch. On second thought, it might be one of those "ain't broke - don't fix" cases. Here, have a listen: Strike Commander - Inflight Mix

Re: Roland CM-64 tricks

Thanks for the very kind words! I did most of the work on this soundtrack over a decade ago, when I had considerably more time on my hands, so I doubt if I'd be up for the task today. It was, indeed, a daunting task, with a lot of manual tinkering, trying to match the volume, panning, and sometimes ...

Re: Roland CM-64 tricks

Assuming my recording of Eco Quest sounds accurate to you (I have the game but haven't played it for a couple years), it's probably something to do with the SysEx, as usual. This is obvious, but if something else was played before Eco Quest, it would be a good idea to switch the CM-64 off temporari...

Re: Roland CM-64 tricks

Yeah, so apparently I had the first 2/3s of the soundtrack already recorded and converted to FLAC.
I've uploaded them to my Google Drive here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1UIPEp ... fVh4bk-pj1
I'll try and get the last part recorded ASAP.

Enjoy!

Re: Roland CM-64 tricks

 Thanks a lot, man! Sorry for the delay in response. I didn't get any notifications to my email, and kinda forgot to come back... Anyway, great work! I already downloaded most of the stuff. Also, I'm at home for the next week due to quarantine over the Corona virus (I'm not sick, just a...

Free Wilco!

This is a bit old, but I only ran into it today, so for me it's new, and it's awesome! :)
