Re: King's Quest IV Finale MIDI
Hey Goatmeal, I have that and recently uploaded it to my Google Drive! Weird coincidence. Mine was extracted from the game by NewRisingSun. Also has 64 tracks instead of what seems to be 55 in yours. Just checked, the tracks are identical. So they are NewRisingSun's extracted tracks. Maybe I sent th...

Re: AGI, MT-32, and the Apple IIgs
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the Apple IIgs was ever supposed to work with the MT-32, so I doubt any soundtrack was written specifically for it. Maybe Xeen used some program similar to the AGI-to-MIDI programs I linked to, and perhaps remixed them to create an MT-32 soundtrack, but th...

Re: Leisure Suit Larry 3 - CM-64 Soundtrack
Thanks Ari. I will give feedback in due time. From a very brief listen, I can say your Nontoonyt Island track suffers from problems with Tom's MIDI - the fretless bass track is wrong (I think it has an Adlib track as well as the MT track, from memory?) and the piano should convert to an electric pia...

Re: It's been awhile...
Hey man! Great to see ya here. Now we just need Zemus, Caliburn, and a few others.. ;) But I totally agree. Jan Paul Moorhead's recent passing highlights that all too well. No point waiting for some of these great folks to pass on to the next realm. Which Sierra friends did you get together with? :)...

Re: Betrayal at Krondor Discussion panel on Twitch March 27
Goatmeal, I agree wholeheartedly. I'm playing through for the 3rd time, and the first proper time in many ways. I'm blown away at how good it is and how well it plays in 2021.
Did you play the 2 sequels? How were they?
And did you hear about https://www.callofsaregnar.com/ ?

Re: King's Quest IV Finale MIDI
I tried listening to his KQ5 GM recordings (which again, I provided the masters for), because I'm not familiar with that conversion, and as Ari says, it was so pedantic it was a chore to listen to. The introduction was in about 15 parts, and I couldn't keep listening. It was fatiguing and lost all o...

The same (or very similar) panel did something a week ago, I believe. I see it because I'm friends with Neal and Ilana on FB, and both are part of the Sierra music group I run.
Hopefully they cover new ground and the spiritual successor gets a date announced

Re: King's Quest IV Finale MIDI
It's par for the course. I sent him some exclusive tracks back when we were still talking, and they are part of his channel now with zero credit to me or acknowledgement in any way. The credit given usually implies some direct relationship with a composer that never took place (and in fact often hap...

Re: AGI, MT-32, and the Apple IIgs
While you are correct, that has nothing to do with the Apple IIGS soundtracks. The big finds are: - that the Apple IIGS scores represent different, longer, and greater quantities of music - that the Apple IIGS scores may have been composed (or at least arranged for) for the Roland MT-32 So the DOS A...

Re: AGI, MT-32, and the Apple IIgs
As for AGI soundtracks. I have the Apple II GS for KQ1-4. I imagine the man who made the emulator is related to the custom software Andrew claims he paid to have developed for him, so he would be a good lead to follow up with. I'd be quite curious to hear the Police Quest 1 AGI score, for example.
