Looking for files from Quest Studios

I wondered how far into my archive posting project I'd get before I ran into some items I can't find. :)

I'm looking for these two files:

1) Lytton.mp3, "Lytton Litany" by Tom Lewandowski. Available on the website from late 2000 to early 2005 on the "Music by Tom Lewandowski" page, Tom wrote at the time, "I'm not very pleased with this one at all." Tom omitted it from his site after the 2005 website redesign.

2) hermit.mid, "'Enry The 'Ermit Pop" by Infinity Squared. Available on the website from the late 90's up until the 2000 redesign on the "Special Arrangements" page.

I like both of those tracks, especially the former! I remember Tom saying it, not sure why he didn't like it. I liked all his interpretations, this one, "A Hero's Quest" and the KQ one, I forget its title now.

I have a vast archive of Sierra music, including 90% of QuestStudios' files over the journey. Here's the two you asked about:

Marten,

What track title does the MT-32 one (cb_12) have? I have the relevant QS files, but retitled. Is it "The Colonel" (aka During Dinner)?

On Quest Studios it was described as:
"Victrola Music #7" by Ken Allen. Too bad Laura didn't have access to a digital victrola. Includes embedded SysEx patch bank for the MT-32.

Got it, thanks!

Next ones needed are from The Adventures of Willy Beamish, MT-32 synth target:
wb_11.zip - "The Ferry Ride"
wb_6.zip - "West Frumpton"
wb_13.zip - "The Chase"
wb_14.zip - "Willy's Backyard"

I zipped them all up, then found out 3 of them were here:

Like the website, I don't have wb_14. I'm looking. Doesn't appear to be out there, but since it's just an MT-32 sequence, can be duplicated. It's in my complete soundtrack too, just have to delete the Mower effect.

Right under my nose. Ouch!

I forgot that Andrew already has the first 3 games (alphabetically) done, plus the Larry games. I'll move on to another item in the list.

Two things further on Willy Beamish:

(1) I found a site that has an archive of the Quest Studios MIDIs (but not file # 14), and also another set of MIDIs, extracted from the game in 118 pieces. http://www.mirsoft.info/gmb/music_info. ... e=Mjg1NA== However, these still sound wrong even after sending the Willy SysEx from the Quest portion of the archive to my MT-32, so I dunno how useful these are.

(2) I found that another person has done FLAC recordings of Willy Beamish on the MT-32 already. The website he used is now gone, but the links are still valid.

There's a subreddit that can be used to discover other past postings. The guy was prolifically posting soundtracks for a long while until he went on sudden hiatus in 2015, and his last posting to Twitter was in Nov 2016. https://www.reddit.com/r/VengefulChip/

Looking through the subreddit, I see other soundtracks that might be of interest, too.
