Eric Wing reviews King's Quest (2015)

Post by Alderem »

Who remembers Eric when he used to post at Quest Studios?

Well, he has just unleashed a set of YouTube videos where he reviews the new King's Quest (2015) by The Odd Gentlemen.

Cool yeah, Josh Mandel posted this on the AdventureGamers forum and I saw it there. I enjoyed it as a discussion of challenge in story-based games and as a retrospective of the design approach in early Sierra games, like the puzzle example from King's Quest 1.

(I almost feel like Eric's characterization of the video series as a review of King's Quest 2015 may have done it a mild disservice, though I get that that game was the initial inspiration for the video and KQ 2015 is obviously topical at the moment.)

I had not seen the Reddit discussion but it was interesting so thanks for the additional link.
