New MT-32 album: "Espaces lointains"

Post by farvardin »

hello,
I'm working on a full length album composed only on and for the MT-32. One hour of synthpop music in the 90's spirit, but also some other kind of music (Dungeon Synth, ambiant...)

I'll probably release it soon (and I'll advertise it here of course), but if you wish to listen to it now and give some feedbacks or advices before the final mastering, tell me and I'll send you a link to a w.i.p. version.

The album is now live:

These tracks were composed between 2019 and 2025, and I've tried to get out of my comfort zone a bit, I have to admit that apart from “alternative” music such as Metal, Dungeon Synth or Gothic/Dark Ambient, I don't know much about it, I've never been interested in what was on the radio, even when I was a teenager.

In retrospect, however, I have the impression that the mainstream, pop and commercial music of the 80s and 90s is qualitatively much more interesting than that of the 2000s onwards.

Although I have no real knowledge of pop composition techniques, I did grow up listening to the theme music of series like MacGyver, Airwolf, K2000, Manimal, Masters of the Universe, V, Street Hawk, and I think that indirectly influenced me.

Thanks for sharing the link! A cursory listen shows it's quite interesting! Bonus points for creative use of the drum sounds.
