Re: Qmidiroute patched for some GS use

I have a new release today and I have decided to increment the version to 0.5.3 at last: qmidiroute-0.4.0-to-0.5.3-patches.7z The build instructions at https://www.midimusicadventures.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=17790#p18511 are still good to follow except for the obvious version number you'd need...

Thanks, that was cool! They made it look so natural that I can imagine the existence a fancy computer back then even handling it.

Re: Qmidiroute patched for some GS use

Today there is another cleanup re-release of 0.5.2 which fixes two glitches ( https://www.midimusicadventures.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=17790&p=18655#p18655 ). One falsely detecting a SysEx message in "rose in the gun sight.mid" (F0 41 10 42 12 40 03 15 00 28 F7) as a GS drum disable message. An...

Their new company: Cygnus Entertainment.
I had been hoping to hear what it was! Thanks, and it sounds like a lot of fun. Although I never played the original, I did like Infocom's spinoffs!

Re: Using Dr.T in the Modern Era for a CM-32L

Hey Spikey, Thanks for responding! It's odd in that it sounds like the partials are getting swallowed up. I have no other way of describing it. I definitely need to troubleshoot what is going on a bit more. Dr. T defaults you to channel 2 (as far as I'm aware) which is where the manual specifies th...

Re: MIDI rips of Konami's 1993 Sharp X68000 game, "Akumajō Dracula" for Roland MT-32/CM-32L/CM-64

I've found that playing back certain songs from this pack will freeze up my MT-100. Not sure why. I have to reset it before it will play again. Creatures in the depth and thrashard in the cave are the biggest culprits. The notes appear to get backed up and trigger all at once sporadically and then ...

Re: Qmidiroute patched for some GS use

Happy Holidays everyone! :) I just replaced it again with a couple bug-related improvements. The main issue I corrected is when an XG drum is set without following it up with a program change (rare, but in at least one XG file I have), it was not sending GS drum enable SysEx when specified. Also, I ...

Re: Qmidiroute patched for some GS use

Thanks man, I'll check it out. :) You're quite welcome, and thanks for the interest! Sorry, I hadn't noticed your response until now; for all I know you've already seen it. It's not been very watched, so I have a feeling my slow thought formulation that night has been too boring for most people. Th...

Re: Qmidiroute patched for some GS use

Thanks for the detailed (and considerably less technical) explanation! I don't use Raspberry Pi and/or Linux, so it's less relevant for me, but kudos for the effort! Keep up the good work. I would love to hear/see some examples of what can be done with this. I'd be curious to see it (though I have ...

Re: Qmidiroute patched for some GS use

Sorry, I bug-fixed two issues and replaced 0.5.2 again! Yesterday, I noticed the upper limit of pitch-bend values should be 8191 (the lower limit is -8192) so I've set a new default and maximum for that. In relation to conversions from non-SysEx to SysEx, I became aware of duplicate messages being c...
